March 15, 2008 – Tom to the Middle East Well Tom is off to the Middle East for an extended period of time. Until he gets back, Mike Keiser, drummer extraordinaire is going to filling in. Mike is a seasoned professional and is presently learning the New Earth catalog. Look for his debut in the spring. November 21, 2007 – Band of the Month New Earth was voted Connecticut Live Music’s band of the month. www.ctlivemusic.com. October 14, 2007 – Bushnell Park New Earth plays Bushnell Park for the American Cancer Society. It was a great two hour show playing for over 6,000 people raising money for cure breast cancer. October 6, 2007 – Tag Sale Treasure This year is just fully of firsts. Jerry was on his way to pick up Paul to head out to a show and he stopped at a tag sale. What was being offered? A copy of Ripple Effect. The good news, the gentleman selling the disc saved all the songs on the iPod and decided to recoup some of his money. Now that is free enterprise. September 17, 2007 – First Stolen Disc OK, this is a funny one. New Earth has had CDs ripped and copied, but one stolen outright, that’s a new one. Must have been a mistake. August 18, 2007 – Roots & Rocks The boys are making good progress on the disc. Rumor has it Roots & Rocks will feature Honeymoon Down on the Island, Fly, Houston, and Stolen Flowers along with six other songs. It should be ready by Christmas … it’ll make a great gift. June 15, 2007 – Relay for Life On June 15, 2007, New Earth will perform it’s 20^th American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, in Plainville, CT. Paul and Tom did their first duet. April 28, 2007 - Studio New Earth is back in the studio working on their follow up CD to “Ripple Effect”. The new disk is called “Roots and Rocks” and will feature many of the most requested songs the boys have been writing. This disk is going to feature guest musicians. So far they’ve signed up Lou Johnson from Quintera, Mike Morin, and Dave Landolina. The anticipated release date is December 2007. April 1, 2007 – Radio Airplay New Earth music has been featured on three radio stations in Connecticut and Western Mass. We have to thank Rob Derosa of Homegrown for starting the ball rolling.
